The first visual impressions of this car wasn't really too good at first because I had previously a sleek stylish looking 206 compared to the more bulky rounded look of the Almera. However my opinion was quickly changed once I had a look at the inter... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Just bought mine 2nd hand ,loads of gizmo's for little outlay ,nippy motor with plenty of storage space ,the reversing camera is a godsend for the missus. Being an auot the mpg is not that great but its the same on all auto cars i guess. Rear seats a... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Don't like its shape but I put up with it. One day I was overtaking and all the sudden the engine stalled. It nearly killed me. This problem is called by a "Timing chain" defect which Nissan are refusing to fix. If this happens to you you need... I got the 136 bhp model, what a car for a diesel. The power is there when I need it (impudent boy racers in there converted 1.2 corsa's) and on average 50 to 60 miles to the gallon cruising. This car has everything even SAT Nav. I can only say one... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Great value for money car although i have been having a problem with fuel consumption
The Almera never came to my mind when looking for a car, not even slightly. I noticed the car at a dealer forecourt after looking at an 'X' reg Ford Focus and tapping the rather extensive rust on the door sill, i knew then i was not buying a Ford. I ... I have had this car for three years from new and have just passed it on to my daughter. It has been 100% reliable. Not a sporty car or good looking car, in my opinion, but if you want a safe, reliable car then I would recommend an Almera. The only... Purchased after reliability problems with VW and Audi cars I had owned in the past. Bought Almera in 2005 and not a single thing has gone wrong. It drives and handles well, is reasonable on fuel (for an Auto) and everything works. Some negatives: a v... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Update: Purchased in 2005 with 32000 miles and by Jan 2008 had 60000 miles. In that time there have been no problems. I intend to keep this car until it totally collapses, which I expect to happen around 200000 mls. It handles well and the automatic ... Nice and comfy seats. Annual services aren't too expensive, and it's never needed any other attention. Easy to drive.
Easy to drive car , but much too noisy while driving on motorways for any distance , the engine is none too powerful for a 1500 . My prevous car was a fiat Punto which I owned for 3 years which gave me absolutely no trouble , ( unusual for a Fiat !)... You can't fault it really. I've had my Almera about 2 years now and it's never needed more than the usual service. It's parked outside all year round, used every day and never gives me any trouble. The only downside is that the rear legroom is a bit ... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.

Good runner, economical and comfortable. Loads of room in the back when seats are down and low maintenance.
It has been a really good car. Only once ever had a problem in 6 years when the alternator went and needed replacing. Otherwise it's been very reliable. No isofix though and doesn't fit Mamas & Papas car seats. It's a bit noisy, but probably not much... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
A great car! Smooth, comfortable, powerful, quiet and refined. It drives and pulls as if it has a much bigger engine while still giving 500 miles to a tank full. Great car. Had it over a year now and all it has needed is a service, and MOT and usual maintenance (brakes changed and a couple of bulbs). I've bought my Almera Sport about a year ago, 55,000 on the clock. Since then it has gone on and on and on, no problems. Quite dull to look at and interior is more 80's than 1999. However handling and performance is surprisingly good. I've done over 20K in 11 months driving - reliability is faultless. Boot is quite large but not good for big loads hatchback would be be... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Although the `older` shape I still think it looks nicer than the newer model. Mine is the range topping GTi. This sadly wasn’t carried on into the new range It shares the same engine as the Primera GT., so pushes out 150 BHP, but this car is 2... Had the car since 1999 and 44,000 miles later I have not had a single problem. The only expense has been route servicing and new tyres.
Brilliant car but needs regular servicing. Nothing too difficult, just oil filter, air filter and spark plug changes. Brakes are much better than other cars I've driven (eg VW, Volvo, Astra). Economical. One bad point (maybe it's just my car... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
