good drive, excellent power,very comfortable
Most reliable car I have ever owned, a pleasure to drive, bought and owned from new.
A motorway mile eater. 145000 so far with lots of mid range power from the 2.3 litre, small turbo engine. The largest hatch back ever has a really useful load space but in a luxury saloon package. The seats are very supportive, great for bad back suf... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Great car, lots of space and really comfortable at any speed from 0-130+mph. Not so hot round corners (it's a big motor) but turbo fun in straight lines and 30+MPG from a 2.3 auto. Very reliable too, home servicing straightforward.
Avery good and reliable car. A car worthy of the Griffin badge Good power and a comfortable ride (especially the heated seats! Ok. on economy but, hey, it is worth it for a lovely, smooth drive. Recommended to any one who just wants a good, solid, d... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
I have now owned four Saab 9000's and a Saab 9-5. The 9-5 was a disappointment but the 9000's are without doubt the most comfortable fast cars I have driven. The 9-5 estate had less room in the back, and carried less than the 9000 hatchback! The ... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Having owned 3 other 9000's and a few classic 900's it is probably not surprising that I rate 1980-90's Saabs. However my present 9000, which cost me ÂŁ400 in Nov 09 has to be the best to date. Bought with 135,000 on the clock, the previous owner had... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Bought the 2 litre non-turbo version 2nd hand & 7 years old. I really cannot fault the car, maybe if you need/want a bit more acceleration go for the turbo or 2.3 versions. The car even at 7 years old was great, well put together & a pleasure to driv... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Good reliable car. I have owned and driven for 7 years and 60,000 miles with only a radiator hose letting me down once.
Had it 3 years, bought it at 100000 miles, done another 30000 miles, no problems other than a new clutch after 115000 miles. Reliable, comfortable on motorways, not so easy around town, generally a bargain.
Owned the car for nearly 4 years. Big, solid , reliable workhorse with a tremendous load-carrying hatchback. Electrics have become a slight problem now, ie Heated seats have both failed. Keep a close 'ear' on the notorious Saab Cam Chain Death R... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
This is the second SAAB I've owned, see other review, and I cannot fault them in any major way. Change the CAM chain at about 120K miles and the car will be good for 300K. Electrics do start to show up after 10 years, these are normally ancillary equ... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Solid and comfortable car. Motor can go on forever but the clutch is a major issue. When mine went it needed the mater, slave cylinders changing then the hose between them as well, cost came to the same as the car was worth. I would however buy ... Bought this Carlsson variant (220BHP) as a weekend car Enjoyed driving the thing so much that it was out a lot more than weekends. Superb performance, and awesome mid-range. Suffers from torque steer (which I like!) Traction in the wet was hopeless ... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
A serious driver's car. A car for motorway mile eating. Nice bit of kit .not so keen on the engine bay layout. Purrs along at 90 for hours quite happily. Handles well and comfy to drive. All in all a good, solid car.... bit like a Volvo but with a b... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
A fabulous bit of kit. Even at this age, the quality shines through. Very luxurious, and 201 lb ft at 3000 rpm makes for stonking mid-range acceleration.
A high pressure turbo tuned by the previous owner to give 230 HP. This car lasted for 168K miles before it was totalled ( by 3rd party). Excellent performance and comfort. Electrics started to show up faults on ancillary equipment but don't be put o... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Excellent. Bought cheaply 18 months ago as a runabout it has become the prefferred choice for me. Gives about 34 M P G overall and bodily looks terrific. However one of the two steel fuel tank straps broke off recently so it will be worth checking th... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
