I believe this car to have a serious braking fault. The manufacturer who is supplying the discs and parts are of an inferior quality that is needed for UK climate. Toyota UK please comment.
What a fantastic car! I got this car new in June 2002 and I love driving it so much it has already clocked 13,000 miles.
Fun and serious at the same time. Classic-inspired roadster design with some modern touches, and without the 'hairdresser' image problem of some smaller sportcars. Buy this car for all-year handling and summer-fun. Lively 'centre of the action' feel... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
I've had my MR2 for 2 years now as my daily drive and have really enjoyed owning it. It's so light that 140bhp is enough to provide lots of driving fun - the low driving position also helps make it feel a lot quicker and with rear wheel drive it's e... This car is a great roadster and it gets good miles to the gallon
Good points 1, Styling - a poor man's Porsche Boxster :) 2, Very easy to use roof - takes seconds to put up and down. 3, Good styling inside and out. Mine's black and looks great (when it's clean). 4, MPG - normall... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.

First, to help identify this model, my 1994 version of the MR2 was the first of the bunch that had the revised rear light clusters, wider rear tyres plus improved suspension geometry, earlier examples tended to be extremely hard to control if the ba... A car to change your mind about driving. After 20 years, much of it spent driving fleet cars, and most recently the most economical cars I could find, doing 30000 miles per year was getting boring. Enter a 1989 T-Bar Mk1 MR2 for Ł1200, as carting me ... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Have just bought a MK1 Toyota MR2, and, for the price, it is the greatest fun on the road A small sports car that avoids the "hairdressers car" brush that daubed the MK2 and MK3, it redlines at 7500rpm, does 0-60 in 7.7sec, and has a classical seven... Up until I had bought this car I had changed my car, on average, every 6 months and I have now had it for 2 ½ years and have no intention of getting rid of it For a car of its age it is superb. It handles well, goes great for a 1600, and overal... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
