Ford Galaxy 2000cc Ghia Diesel Automatic People Carrier 2008

This is the first car I have had from new and at first was very wary of faults developing in the first few months as you read in reports for other cars. I am pleased to report that I have had no problems at all, which came as a pleasant surprise. On ...

Ford Galaxy 2000cc GHIA Diesel Automatic People Carrier 2008

Just a note about the Peugeot driver who nipped out of his car with the engine running to go to the boot and the car locked itself with him on the outside.
First it is illegal to get out of any vehicle and leave the engine running, and secondly e...

Millers Oils comment.

Not really a comment about the Galaxy but I'll let you off as you are asking about my favourite oil, Millers and I can trumpet it to the world.
I have used it for just about 20 years and have always changed the oil and filter at the proper times or earlier, never ever later.
My old Pug 306 done around 80,000 at around 8,000 mile per year and once a year I would put in their diesel additive to give the injectors a clean because of the lack of mileage I was doing at that time.
Briefly, I had a Golf MK 4 GTTDI that seemed to have been built in a scrap yard so I got rid of it quick, hence the incarnation of PeachorLemon after loosing over ÂŁ5,000 to buy the Almera, which incidentally was initially a stop gap car.
My Almera has averaged 16,000 miles a year, now on 132,000 and as before, oil servicing is on the button. I use the Millers additive on every other fill up, mainly because it does perk the car up quite a lot, quieter, better pulling etc.
The man at Superchips said that he had never chipped a car with 92,000 miles on it and it is still going strong. The engine does not use, loose or burn oil (only diesel). To date, I have never had a diesel go wrong and from day one my Almera is averaging 56 mpg using the odometer and brimming the tank.
Ask your dealer what they think of the oil and then e-mail Millers and ask them as I did. I realise the there could be a warranty issue with Ford, but Nissan said that it would be OK to use it straight away, so I did.
So all things considered, I think the Millers Oil is the bees knees. Hope I have answered your question and be safe. PoL.
PS. I do not have any connection with Millers Oils other than use the stuff.

Ford Galaxy 1900cc TDi Diesel MPV 2003

This is the second Galaxy TDi I've owned, and I love it; with 3 squabbling kids and a nutter of a dog to transport the length and breadth of the country on a regular basis, it's a winner.
The first one I had (Y-reg) suffered the inevitable air-c...
